Mark Valley is the Human Target

According to the trades, Fringe star Mark Valley has been tapped to lead Human Target, a new FOX show based on the DC Comics series of the same name originally created by Len Wein and Carmine Infantino, and was recently reinvented by Peter Milligan. The Hollywood Reporter says it’s about “a mysterious security freelancer who assumes the identities of those in danger, becoming the “human target” for his clients.” Sounds like a great idea for a TV show, right? Heck, it might have made for a pretty good movie, too.

The comic was actually turned into a TV show once already in the ’90s starring rocker turned actor Rick Springfield. It lasted for exactly 7 episodes in 1992 before being yanked. But since you’ve never heard of it, I think it’s safe to assume that it didn’t really go anywhere.
