Oh, my! This is quite possibly the best news ever!! Every single person who totally loves the “Back to the Future” films, this post has you written all over it.

Back in 1989, Michael J. Fox’s character Marty McFly traveled to October 21, 2015 in “Back to the Future Part 2”, and while it’s not 2015 just yet, we may be getting our first taste of the future with McFly’s own self-lacing sneakers!

Producer Frank Marshall took to his Twitter account to announce the following:

Something big is coming soon. Can’t say anything yet. No one should know too much about their own destiny. #BTTF

Shortly after that tweet was posted, he posted….

Going to need a lot of hover boards. #BTTF

In the second tweet, he posted a video featuring a bunch of Nike MAG Shoes which you can view below.

A special unveiling with confirmation will take place tonight with all the details.

And just for the heck of it, here’s video of McFly himself wearing the shoes in “Back to the Future Part 2”:

“Power laces. Alright!”

If you visit, you can see pics of the official confirmation. The official announcement and all that will be posted later today. And tonight, Michael J. Fox himself will be on the “Late Show with David Letterman” so be sure to tune in for that.

Update: In another tweet, Marshall posted, “POWERLACES? Not until 2015…”

So what the hell is this all about then? Hoverboards?! Hydrated pizzas? Marshall’s currently at the Letterman studios, presumably with J. Fox so only a few hours until whatever’s gonna go down.

Update 2- Nike has announced they’ll be making 1,500 pairs of the Nike Air Mag and will only be selling them through e-bay’s Fashion Vault with 150 pairs only being sold each day. Bidding will begin tonight at 8:30 PM Pacific Standard Time. The proceeds will go to The Michael J. Fox Foundation to further Parkinson’s research. Not only that, all the money made will be doubled through matching contributions.

It’s a great idea if you ask me. Especially since it’ll be benefiting his foundation for a good cause.

And for those still wondering, you gotta tie the shoes the old-fashioned way like we’ve been doing for years.
