In case you were wondering, yes, Joss Whedon’s “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” has officially added Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch (probably not looking nearly as, er, bare as in the pic above) and Aaron Johnson as her bro, Quicksilver (probably looking as buff as the pic above). The announcement was made officially official this morning by Marvel.
This is the duo’s second film together. They are playing the leads in Gareth Edwards’ super duper secret “Godzilla” movie, a film that is so super duper secret, anyone who has discovered any scrap of information about it is immediately killed, along with their families. It’s that serious, folks!
So basically, Johnson and Olsen are going from playing love interests in one movie to playing brother and sister in another one. A very close pair of siblings, at that. (Creepily so, if Joss Whedon were to follow the Ultimates version of the characters.)
“The Avengers: Age of Ultron” would find the Avengers assembling once again to battle the menace of robot bad guy Ultron. Everyone is expected back, including Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and all the other non-superheroes in the group, like the girl in the black bodysuit and the guy with the bow and arrow, and that fellow with the eyepatch.
It’s due to break every record in existence on May 1, 2015.
