Give me a break, will ya. Besides, we’re talking films here. As for Captain America, as long as it’s not so politically steered (just because he bears the name–I mean, not so much like Superman’s “…the American way”-kind of justice), I think it won’t matter much. Or perhaps the movie could post a seperation between the ideals and characterizations. His critical clash with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D., for instance? His romance with Natasha Romanenko? His efforts to determine his own footing instead of being the government’s doll for the rest of his life? Paving the way for the birth of the “Metahuman Act of Rights and Freedom”? Does the world really need superheroes at all–hence, the justifications for The Avengers?

Lotsa possible and hugely interesting angles could be taken, no?

An Ant Man movie? As in Ant Man in his own full length feature presentation? Boo. Great as one of many heros, but horribly uninteresting and just plain tacky on his own.
I am hoping that Thor doesn’t come off as utterly ridiculous either. I love the guy, but there are plenty of mystical and grandiose elements to the character and his ethereal brethren.
Captain America has a ton of potential to totally kick ass. Yes, America is not a very popular place abroad because when the Bush White House took over we suddenly became a very hostile nation and painted every other nation as a friend or a foe, black or white, if you’re not with us you’re against us, which is an attitude that does not at all suit a nation that is supposed to be the most powerful and set an example for democracy and diplomacy. That IS an issue. Regardless, Captain America is a very popular character and it should go over very well, especially in America.
I can only hope Iron Man 2 lives up to the expectations that 1 has set for it!

Apparently the American way, now, is to crawl under a rock and hope the dumbest politician we can find will protect us from the big, bad men while we convulsively cry into our oversized pillows.

Yet most “liberal” movie themes (once again) are filled with hatred for this country, portray any oposing view as ridiculous, and just love to prop up our true enemies and celebrate diversity by catering to the extremely offensive few in our country. Oh, and they just love the “bad guy” to win as well, so a superhero movie or just a plain hero movie really goes againt their screwed up views.

oil sucking – Sorry but your car my car and every other car in this country and every other country relies on… OIL. Guess what Todd Macfarlane figurines are made of OIL. Guess what upstart industrialized societies such as China and India need… OIL! We would be happy to DRILL HERE DRILL NOW but those scum liberal enviromental case extremists wont let us.

war starting – JFK started Vietnam and last I checked there was a D in front of his name. On 9/11 we were attacked not vice versa. I know your job isnt as lofty as being charged with the protection of peoples lives but its easier to criticize that way isnt it?

religious preaching republicans – I must be a rare case but I dont feel any pressure to hit the bible and go to church from anybody. Plus ever since W got RE-ELECTED a few Dems found it quite hip to quote the bible and head into churches to get a few votes.

recessions – America was starting into a recession after Clinton raised taxes and the situation was aggravated by 9/11. Low and behold Bush drops taxes and sends out rebate checks and the economy booms. What we are going through now is because a lot of people who bought houses really shouldnt have. Govt didnt put a gun to their head and say “sign this mortgage or else”.

freedom of speech impending – Don Imus fired from MSNBC and WFAN because of something he said. Firing spearheaded by Al Sharpton Democrat Presidential Candidate 2004
Randy Rhodes, liberal pig suspended for her comments about Hillary Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro(clear case of liberals eating their own) I dont think a Republican had anything to do with that one either. Lets head back to the 80s. Who wanted lyrics put on albums for fear of bad language TIPPER GORE liberal Democrat. Who wants to shut down debate about global warming Al Gore Liberal Democrat.

lets not forget gay marriage banning – Yes lets not. Nothing I cant stand more than abnormal people trying to tell me what is normal. Whats next? Marrying your horse…. well maybe in Seattle. After that we can go for marrying your pet rock.
money grubbing – Yes and Obama Hillary Edwards and every other liberal democrat in office is wondering where their next meal will come from.

Apparently only a “Panty-wetting Liberal” could write “freedom of speech impending” and think it actually means something… in English. Nicely done.

In closing, if you don’t want your economic stimulus check, I’d be happy to spend it for you. Sounds like you’re too busy spending your beloved welfare and disability checks.
