Tom Six was all set to blow America’s minds (and probably destroy the universe while he’s at it) later this year with the start of production on the third entry in his “Human Centipede” franchise around May and June. That will now have to wait, because there has been a slight bump in Six’s master plan.
The third film would have teamed up the two villains from the series’ first two films, played by Dieter Laser and Laurence R. Harvey, but now it’s looking likely that Martin (Harvey’s character) will have to find another partner, because Six and Laser are now suing each other. Yup, you read that correctly.
The news comes from the film’s producer Ilona Six, who tells Bloody-Disgusting:
Tom Six’s company will sue Dieter Laser. Because of the success of The Human Centipede, it seems that Mr Dieter Laser’s ego has grown to laughably big proportions. First signing the contract and rating the THC3 script as fantastic, and then demanding his own unacceptable script changes, and now refusing to play the part only seven weeks prior to shooting. Six Entertainment Company will start legal action against Dieter Laser. Tom Six says not to worry – principal photography will be postponed and will take place later this year.
Laser, of course, played Dr. Heiter in the original “Human Centipede” film, and it was expected that his character would team up with Harvey’s in the third and final film in the trilogy. Set in America, “The Human Centipede 3: Final Sequence” would apparently find the two sick bastards trying to create a 500-person centipede.
Man, what’s this world coming to when you can’t even get an actor to honor his commitment to creating a 500-person centipede on film?
