Funny guy Sacha Baron Cohen’s “The Dictator” (with director Larry Charles) is lining up the cameos, including Megan Fox and John C. Reilly. They are said to be appearing in the film, alongside, one presumes, lengthier appearances by Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley and Jason Mantzoukas.
THR describes the film thusly:
The movie has been described as “the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.” Cohen is said to play dual roles of a goat herder and a deposed foreign ruler who gets lost in the U.S.
Basically, “Borat” with a uniform.
It’s just a cameo, of course, but this should be welcome news to Megan Fox fans. The little lady hasn’t exactly had it easy of late, with her last three starring roles bombing (and one basically going direct-to-DVD), and her former “Transformers” gangs all piling on her like it’s going out of style. John C. Reilly? He’s probably just doing it for the laughs.
“The Dictator” takes over May 11, 2012.
