At this point it might be easier wondering who isn’t in Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables 3”.
After dumping Bruce Willis and adding Harrison Ford recently, Stallone’s action sequel has now officially added Mel Gibson and Antonio Banderas to its roster. Stallone, of course, hinted at the possible addition of both men previously, but this is the first time we’ve gotten official confirmation from Lionsgate.
As with the previous additions, there are no word on who Gibson or Banderas are playing. My guess is that Gibson is playing the villain, since the last time Stallone tweeted Gibson’s possible involvement, he said this:
Mad Max vs Barney Ross……

If true, this would be Gibson’s second villainous role (as far as I know). He’s also playing the bad guy in Robert Rodriguez’s “Machete Kills”, but he previously played a sorta bad guy in “Get the Gringo”. Well, anti-hero, anyway.
Besides Ford, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey and Victor Ortiz were also recently added to the sequel, currently set for released next year on August 15, 2014. Patrick Hughes (“Red Hill”) is directing.
