Mena Suvari, Like, Totally Kicks Ass in Day of the Dead Remake

Mena Suvari, like, totally kicks zombie ass, dude. Or somesuch. I didn’t expect Mena Suvari to sound like a Yale College professor, but I have to admit that I was surprised by the, like, totally Valley Girl accent that came through in this interview she did with Sci Fi Wire.

“Day of the Dead is like [Zack Snyder’s 2004] Dawn of the Dead,” the actress said in an interview while promoting her latest film, Brooklyn Rules. “It’s a remake. Steve Miner directed it, and he, like, created Friday the 13th. So that was awesome. That was two and a half months in Bulgaria, six-day weeks, and I did all my own stunts. It was fun.”

Um, okay, Mena. So you’re saying all those crappy reviews we’ve been hearing about “Day of the Dead” is all wrong? Yeeeeeeeeah.

She goes on:

“Yeah, I’m kind of saving the day in that film,” she said. “And that was great. It was action, and I really challenged myself. Like I said, I did all my own stunts, and that was really fun.”

Like, totally, Mena!

But hey, maybe we’re all wrong, and this “Day of the Dead” remake will turn out to be a work of genius. It stars Ving Rhames, Nick Cannon, Mena Suvari, Christa Campbell, Annalynne McCord, but has no release date as of yet. Expect it on DVD.
