Michael Fassbender May Board Aronofsky’s Noah

Darren Aronofsky had wanted Christian Bale to play Noah in his epic take on the biblical character in “Noah”, but apparently Bale had other fishes to fry. Instead, Aronofsky has now set his sights on Michael Fassbender, and though no official offers have gone out, it’s apparently the ever-busy Fassbender’s if he wants it.

Based on a script by Aronofsky and Ari Handel (with a rewrite by “Gladiator’s” John Logan), “Noah” would tell the tale of Noah’s Ark, but in spectacular, big studio-budgeted fashion. Which I take to mean giant ass floods and CGI creatures and infidels running for their lives. You know, good times, good times.

Other than that? No real news on “Noah”.

Michael Fassbender, meanwhile, can next be seen starring in my block’s interpretation of “Othello”. What can I say? Dude loves to work.
