Michael Ironside, Teri Polo to Star in Beacon
Horror Movie News, The Beacon (2008) Movie — By Nix on February 22, 2008 |
I have to say, out of all the “character” actors out there, I’ve always found Michael Ironside to be incredibly watchable. Whether he’s playing a bad guy or, on those rare occasions, a good guy, he’s always so much better than everyone else around him that you wish he was more famous. But oh well. His latest is the indie horror “The Beacon”, which will co-star Teri Polo (”Meet the Parents”).
More:
The movie, produced by Sally Helppie, centers on Bryn (Polo), a thirtysomething woman grieving over the loss of her 4-year-old son. Along with her college professor and author husband (Snell), Bryn moves into the charming old Beacon Apartments. There, she begins to see a boy who died in a fall down the Beacon’s elevator shaft while trying to escape his abusive father. With the help of an eccentric young professor (Urie), Bryn tries to save the boy’s spirit. Ironside plays a tough career cop who has adopted the residents.
Production starts this week in Dallas under the direction of one Michael Stokes.
