Mila Kunis is no stranger to voice work. Unless you’ve been living in a cave or lack a sense of humor, then you already know that Kunis is the long-time voice of Meg Griffin on Seth MacFarlane’s “Family Guy” TV show. She’ll be adding to her list of voice work credits with the stop-motion animated film “Hell and Back”, in which she’ll play a demon in hell. A sexy demon in hell, I’d imagine.
Kunis joins Nick Swardson, TJ Miller, Rob Riggle, Brian Posehn and Kumail Najiani on the R-rated film, which follows “two best friends (Swardson and Miller) as they rescue a buddy who’s been dragged to hell by accident.”
Kunis will play “a female demon whose ability to navigate the underworld makes her the toughest rogue demon in Hell. Her independent streak comes from the fact she’s half human. She was sired by the Orpheus of myth when he traveled down the River Styx, nailing everything in sight.” Since the film is R-rated, will we be seeing Orpheus “nailing everything in sight”? One can only hope. After all, who can’t use a little stop-motion raunchy sex in their, er, stop-motion animated movie?
ShadowMachine’s Corey Campodonico, Eric Blyler and Alex Bulkley are producing, with Tommy Gianas and Ross Shuma directing. ShadowMachine, of course, are also the boys responsible for the TV show “Robot Chicken” on Cartoon Network. So I guess going into feature film with their brand of stop-motion mayhem was the obvious next move for these crazy kids.
