Add Mila Kunis to Sam Raimi’s comeback special, aka “Oz, The Great and Powerful”, his prequel to “The Wizard of Oz”. Kunis will join the previously cast James Franco, who will be bringing his charms to the film as an illusionist who eventually ends up becoming the famous Wizard.
Kunis, meanwhile, will play Theodora, described as “a good witch who turns bad after Franco’s character rejects her sexual advances.”
Kunis and Franco previously worked together on the Tina Fey romcom “Date Night”. Kunis herself is coming off her most critically successful film yet, the Darren Aronofsky ballet movie “Black Swan”, a film that, oddly enough, she doesn’t get nearly enough credit for. Blame that on Natalie Portman’s Oscar, I suppose.
