Milla Jovovich Confirms Returning for Resident Evil 4. Plus, Clones!
Horror Movie News, Resident Evil 4: Afterlife (2010) Movie — By Nix on August 1, 2009
Will she or won’t she? That was the big question going into “Resident Evil 4″ — will Milla Jovovich return for a fourth outing in the horror franchise, or pass the torch on to Ali Larter’s Claire Redfield character, as the last movie hinted at? According to Jovovich herself, she’s definitely returning to the franchise, and Alice will be, once again, the main attraction. Alice and all those clones of hers that have been set loose at the end of “Extinction”, that is.
Speaking to Bloody-Disgusting while promoting her “A Perfect Getaway” thriller, Jovovich said this:
“I’m the lead role [again]. There’s the clones and it’s going to be a lot of work. I’m gonna be working every day for the next four months on this and it’s gonna be bigger than ever. It’s super-exciting.
The clones are definitely in it. You’ve got multiple Alice’s kicking serious butt. And definitely the real Alice has some pretty major things happen to her that change the stakes a little bit. That’s probably all I can give you in a vague sort of way. It’s definitely going to be a different Alice than who we’re used to.”
Also according to Jovovich, Paul W.S. Anderson, who has produced all four installments and directed the first one, has already signed a deal with the same company that worked on James Cameron’s “Avatar” to ply their 3D skills on “Afterlife”, which means the fourth “Resident Evil” movie will be jumping into the 3D trend.
I guess we should have expected this. Jovovich is, after all, engaged to Anderson (and word is they’ve officially tied the knot over the weekend), so it would make sense she would return with Anderson still working on the sequel. The two already have a daughter together.
Below: “Sorry, Paul, I don’t date my directors. Well, okay, there was that one time with Luc… But never again!”

they need to remake this crap and make it more like the first video game.in the mansion, closed in areas,a tyrant that is a bio weopn in a tank that does not talk, hunters, maybe a licker jll, berry, and rebecca, and no karate action, just gun shooting, and monster attacks,it needs to be a real hooror movie.we need wesker, chris redfield, neptune, and plant 42,and even tyhe spiders, and snake could appear in cages,as bio weapons. the movie could run two hours ,but the story needs the most work. remake.
Chris they are games..give me a movie that was made from a game that involves guns(alot of guns) and no fighting even if there isn’t any in the game. That’s right. None of them. If they would’ve made resedent evil with Jill running around in a burre just running around shooting shit and not fights and looking all hot you really think ppl would go see that? :/ they wouldn’t fighting sells movies. It adds alot more to the movies than just trying to shoot things in the head or chest to kill it faster looool. closed arena are a horrible way to try and make a movie anyway. And it is a real horror movie. If my girl friend won’t even watch it, it’s a horror movie. next.
What you need to realize is that the movies are not supposed to be like the games. The movies follow a completely different plot and have a different feel to them.
leon and chris redfield are in re4
I can’t wait to see it!! It will rock like the other one’s did!! Happy to hear that Milla is returning!! You Rock Girl!
Seriously they need to start making films out of newer games, and while I may sound a little broken record-ish Cursed Mountain would mnake an amazing flick, hell when I first saw the trailer I thought it was some CGI flick!

ur just an idiot
seriously the movies suck the only thing true to the video game is umbrella and a few of the characters in the second and third movie i mean seriously at the end of the second movie alice kills a security guard that was watching her on a monitor using her mind she’s super human and kicks the tyrants ass with her fake mma and machete slicing…just stop with the movies and hopefuly some where down the line someone who knows what their doing remakes the movies if not start now and forget about the fourth movie bring it back to resident evil 1

The Movies already made are totally AMAZING!..and you’re a bit of a twat to not like them.
I’d like to see you make it, ha!
Fucking shut up and let them do their job, if you don’t like it, don’t watch it, just don’t tell us your stupid opinions!
i agree that they are all good films but it wud be aight if thee took it bk to the 1st and did the mansion i alson like the idea of neptune and plant 42 and even the snake no spiders tho basterds creep me out but in all the movies are really great ! and also id like 2 see leon s kenddy haha
peance much love !
Why would anybody come on to this site if they didn’t like the movies? Must have alot of spare time on their hands. Anyway, the movies are great and I can’t wait for the fourth installment. And im glad that Alice will be returning!
HELLYEAH…I agree ALL 3 movies were great they just kept getting better & better. And now I’v been waiting for this one to come out for a while. I did send some suggestions to Paul Anderson about getting some of the new Slipknot on the soudtrack since the were on the 1st 2. Gotta love Milla Jovovich she really brings the edge to those movies:-) I think Gematria or All hope is gone would do the most justice for the movie.:-)
yeah the movies are great, good story lines, good effects, etc…i am glad they went a different route with the movies, but i am a greater resident evil fan of all the games and for all of you who want movies based on the games, write to the japs and tell them to make the biohazard movies based on the games jap-horror is fucking insane and imagine if they made the r.e. games into movies!!!
