The TV version of the Tom Cruise big-budget sci-fi actioner “Minority Report” has found a home — at Fox. Which means “Minority Report” will either run for 5 mind-boggling seasons, where every season you wonder if it’s going to get canceled, or it’ll get canceled after one brutal, painful season.

Good luck to ya!

With the news of the pilot commitment by the network, we also get an official synopsis for the upcoming show, which will take place 10 years after the events of the movie:

The Minority Report follow-up takes place 10 years after the end of Precrime in D.C., when one of the three Precogs struggles to lead a “normal” human life, but remains haunted by visions of the future. He meets a detective haunted by her past who just may help him find a purpose to his gift.

So basically they’re going to turn the precog into a psychic who helps the police? Sorta like, what, “Millennium,” “Medium,” et al?

I guess that’s one way to go about it.
