Elizabeth Kostova novel, “The Historian”, described as a modern-day take on the vampire legend, has been given to former child actor turned writer Brad Caleb Kane to adapt into a movie, says Variety. It seems like the producers are looking for someone who can turn the book into a “sexy” modern version of the vampire mythos. I’m really not sure why they would do that; just go to any cornerstore and you’ll find erotic vampire movies out the wazoo. Of course most of them are softcore movies, but hey, what do you expect when you mix “sexy” and “vampires”?
The book revolves around a young woman’s search for her father, who is on the hunt for the grave of Vlad the Impaler, the feudal lord who inspired Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.”
