More Amazing Spider-Man Set Images With Peter Parker and … The Lizard?

According to various reports, the fellow in the light blue-ish mask and hood is The Lizard. Or, actually, actor Rhys Ifan in his Lizard costume, all covered up and moving between the sets of Marc Webb’s “The Amazing Spider-Man”.

The boys at IO9 deduced this about the above pic:

But if you look closer at the eye holes in the mask it’s pretty evident that there’s a lot of green make-up and scales covering the subjects face.

Look for “The Amazing Spider-Man” in 2012, co-starring Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy.

    I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this is the beggining of the transformation for him. It’d be cool if we get a more humanoid version to start and then by the end he’s full on giant Lizard

      Agreed. I think that showing the long ,slow transformation is the way to go. In the same vein as the classic ‘The Fly’! I’ve always liked Ifans and think that he’ll deliver a great Lizard!

      Well, they certainly are going for a ultimate version in the sense that he is a 21st century teen. Personally, i think if Webb pulls this one off, it could be really good!!

      This is also the first film in Webb’s series of films. Peter should transform slowly, like the Lizard, into a confidant and able hero. He can start out as a geeky, awkward teen and eventually become the big apple’s web slinging savior. That is also why I think having these films start off with Gwen Stacy as opposed to MJ. The nerdy, teenage Peter wouldn’t be able to handle someone like an MJ or a Black Cat or even a Betty Brandt. They need to have him cut his teeth on a nice girl and lead up to a strong, beautiful woman like one of the females that I just mentioned.
