More Dragonball Images: Master Roshi, Bulma, and Yamcha!

Hold on what happened to James Kyson Lee(original actor for Yamcha)? Master Roshi does not wear Hawiian shirts in the anime but i guess it’s a nice change. Emmy Rossum looks hot and Justin Chatwin’s hair is good. But no Krillin and Tien.

One more thing Joon Park looks too old for Yamcha. Yamcha’s a teenager not some dude in his mid 30’s.

I hate how, fox looks like they are gonna ABSOLUTELY ruin this movie and stray as far from the story as possible….yet ‘cos im a MASSIVE fan i’m gonna waste money and sit through this rubbish film…and the worst part?! i’m gonna enjoy it!…yeah, it won’t deserve to be called dragonball but i’ll LOVE it and wait patiently for the sequels like everyone else….cos we are mugs and FOX knows it. grrr….. peace!

why does everybody dis this movie? so much things like “its too different from the source blah blah”, and like goku is not buff blah blah, its dragonball… not dragonball z… they can get a new actor for Z, but for now goku needs to be young and thin.
and for the hair and costumes… search “goku cosplay” on google, look at the pics, nomatter how good the costume and hair is, it still looks SILLY! dbz costumes and hair would suck in live action.
and about not using asians for goku… even in the anime goku doesnt look asian…

Looks like this movie is going to be a flop. The actors look nothing like the characters. At all! Bulma: Blue Hair. Looks like some cheezy 10 dollar movie.

who ever said “this movie is not meant for DB fans” is as dumb as dumb can get, as an adult, if i walk by the movie theatre and see a poster of some power rangers looking kid’s movie, u wont see me saying “OMG i gotta watch this flick NOW”… but since i grew up with DBZ… if i see any movie with that title on it.. i gotta watch it ASAP and buy the dvd… and games if any come out… and since its not secret that the Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z/Dragon Ball GT fan base and community is freaking huge… and only gets bigger by the minute… its very ignorant to say the movie is not meant for us… the Dragon Ball Fans… Try naming that movie “Daichi’s Adventure” or some shit like that and not mentioning it has anything to do with dragon ball and sit back and wait to see the charts on how well its doing in Theatres lol….

i seen better photo shop work done by kids then what this movie seems to offer… but oh well… it has a dragon ball title, so im gonna have to watch it and cry after and bitch about it.

i saw a movie once that was meant to be a dragon ball movie… but at least the producer had the respect not to put the dragon ball title on that garbage… it was called something else, i dont remember exactly what… i did a pretty good job on blocking it outta my memory since it was so horrible.

i hope this guys know what they are doing… if they arent going to use top notch tech to make this with the best Computer Generated Graphics then they shouldn’t even bother.

Goku come out in his “grown up” form until episode 133 of a
153 episode series… to base the movie in those last 20 episodes is down right stupid if you ask me, lets just forget about the other 85% of the series and concentrate on a twisted last 15% of it… 15% that is most likely very different then the last 20 episodes we remember and will probably have nothing to do with the real story hahahahahaha.

Let’s just hope it’s going to be better than Dragon Ball the Magic Begins.

its was all about the FIGHTS man! i dont care what hollywood does to the story, throw in a massive fight with superspeed and insane explosions, then its DBZ. all of us here were probably not even teenages when we saw the anime, we didnt care bout the story, it was the fights! and we still loved it! if the fights look like the Neo VS Smith fight from matrix (with powers), then im happy.

In episodes 133-150(?) in DB around the world tournament focussing on piccolo being the bad guy of the mini saga, i yamcha and tien were slightly taller and more muscular than goku, Tien DEF was. Goku was an adolescent, some sites ranging from 17-19 years old and he does look like a teenager (albeit a very athletic/muscular one) and tien and yamcha are about 3-4 years older (again, dont quote me, do the research for yourself) . Most people can clearly see the difference in physical appearance in say a 17-19 and a 20-23 year old man ESPECIALLY if they exercise. Therefore, the yamcha being older/hencher isnt a big issue to me. Aslong as in subsequent movies goku “catches up” in height/physique its cool.
As far as costumes, this is a hollywood movie, nt some lame cosplay. The budget for wardrobe will be big so im assuming they COULD make the costumes look good/authentic but judging by the pics, they couldnt care less.
Goku NEVER went to school! I refuse to believe that casting him as a school boy works! part of his character was that he was unintelligent! sure, he was tactically smart at fighting, but he couldnt work out 16 minus 1 in his head ( DBZ episode at the great saiya man saga). ANY teenage school kid would LAUGH at how dumb that is. Its part of his jovial nature/innocence and that innocence is PRECISELY which makes him forgiving and unusually trusting to even his enemies. A trait that MAKES his character. Also that innocence plays a big part in learning the “spirit bomb”.

for the people worried about gokus tail,it was removed when goku was training with kami after he beat demon king piccolo,it didnt show u it happnin but thts what happend.im not goin 2 get my hopes up 2 much 4 the movie,but im not goin 2 sit and slag it either,until ive seen it.cant wait 2 c wat the super kamehameha looks like and piccolos big attack,nt sure wat its called,but its similar 2 vegetas final sacrafice.also im hopin the movies goin 2 b a success so they bring out the sayain saga in a film,been rackin ma brain thinkin who cud play nappa,any suggestions.i think jet li wud make a good vegeta tho,hes small like vegeta,but as we know packs a powerful punch.any fans who fancy talkin dbz ma msn is boab@random.com

Guys, can we wait just a little bit before we completely distroy it. I mean come on, what do you expect? DragonBall Z live action film, doesn’t exactly sound good to begin with. Do you all expect it to be perfect? I know Speed Racer wasn’t good, but I can at least say it was F!@#ing better than the original animated series. This movie will be terrible. Goku looks like a wimpy runt and man where’s his Gi? Jeans and a T-shirt? All the actors are no-name nobodys mostly TV actors, that always spells disaster in a movie…I’m a huge fan of the anime I won’t even rent this when it comes out.

As for the actors playing the characters you cant really bring cartoon characters in live action so looks CANNOT be the same. They would look rather stupid, dont you think? No matter how good the costume design is….I mean, could you imagine someone dressed up like someone from the kingdom heart series? With all those belts? ohhh god….all I got to say is that I think that the costume wear is okey and have only ONE complaint about it: “WHERE IS MASTER ROSHI’S TURTLE SHELL ON HIS BACK?!?!” HAHAHAHA

I dont expect much from this movie story wise, dragonball wasnt exactly shakespear what matters was the fight scenes! If the fight is this movie is awesome….Like really awesome not just some standard shuddy fight scene but like full epic battle DB style then this movie will do okey….Not only will it appeal to the fans but those also who are not familiar with the original….and who knows? Maybe after the film it will dreate a new fan base and the new fans will discover the TRUE glory of dragonball….

What most of you harcore moronic fans fail to realize is that GOKU IS ACTUALLY 16 THROUGHOUT THE SERIES. He just looks young because saiyans age so slowly. “But then he should still look young!” I don’t care. Just stop saying that he IS so young.

They really should do something with his hair it’s stupid. Like vegeta said “a saiyans hair is black and it never changes.” Until Super saiyans come around. Roshi should be bald, and Piccolo should have green skin dont change it.

Personally, the movie looks silly. I have no doubt I will watch it, but I am not expecting much out of it. Goku’s hair… come on… at least be longer. Bulma’s hair… supposed to be blue, but I guess I can deal with emmy’s. Roshi I have no issues with. Yamcha’s character is a little weird lookin’. Can’t wait to see piccolo, my favorite character of the series. Chi chi is perfect. I don’t know why krillin isn’t in the damn movie, he followed goku from the very beginning pretty much. If they put chaotzu in there without krillin, I will be pissed. I don’t think this will be a good movie, but hey, no one is perfect. I will watch, only to criticize… it will be worth it. Forgive me for simplistic writing, but I am tired… heh. I just had to comment. Maybe later I will write something a little more dickens.

hey guys, again, i am a huge db/dbz fan, loved all the sagas, and like most fans was disappointed with dbgt. This film…. oh my god. What have they done to our show?!?! Seriously, i don’t know how much money these people were paid to change it so drastically from what most of us know and love, but they will kill off future fans of the series with this retarded and and inaccurate rendition of toriyama’s creation.
So, some ideas then to make this a little better, or what should have been done in the first place: Jatwin would have been fine to play gohan or teen goten, but not goku, personally i would have had Brandon Fraser play adult goku (i know it’s a weird choice, but other fans may agree if they have a look at some of his acting, it’s actually very similar to the way goku behaves in the show, and he is a big guy, same as the show… and most importantly he can pull off the cheesy grin haha)
So anyway, goku should never go to school as decalex said, it is his character to be, well, not unintelligent, but ignorant of the way the world works and some of it’s finer points. Costumes wise, i see nothing wrong with giving them the orange gi, but they should not use the ones from the show down to every detail, model them more on the shaolin uniforms and edit them a bit to give them a different style. AND PUT KRILLIN IN THE FILM.

Here is what i think they should have done though: Don’t rehash the same story we all know, instead create a film about the saiyans just before the time of Bardock (gokus father no less) and the fights they had in space, and tell the story of how Frieza took them over leading to a sequal about the show we know. erm, if i think of any more (heaven forbid) i’ll post it right up here, weyyy.

A Dragonball Z movie? Wack? Sir, you astonish me.

sometimes, certain things are best left in an animated form so as not to tarnish our gr8 memories of them. I never really wanted them to make a DBZ movie cos all they are going to do is commercialise an awesome and brilliant series that is DBZ. as i have read in a previous comment they should’ve attempted a movie that is like Final Fantasy VII Advent children and that way hair, muscle tone and characters almost identical to their originals and could’ve been done without the hassle of trying to create them as actual people and still messing it up in more ways than one
can any1 imagine the budget for chatwin’s hair gel alone? lol

I think, this is only a waste of time and money!! I think it will looks like a Mortal Combat movie (with no story and with no DB feeling, but with a lot of effects.) I am going to watch it, just because I will prove that I am right. I watched original anime 4 times, and I loved that strong story and that feeling. Everything was great. But here is Goku student on a high school. I never saw goku on a high school. In anime he was brave, strong, pure hearted, he was everything but a student. I mean Gokus personality will be absolutely different. In that case it wont be Goku at all.
