More Dragonball Movie Pics to Get Riled About

Here’s the plot of James Wong’s upcoming “Dragonball” movie according to IMDB.com: “A young boy named Goku seeks out upon his grandfather’s dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls (of which he has one) in order to prevent Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world.” Yup. That’s the actual plot from the movie. And people are still arguing if the movie will be “faithful” to the original source material! Guys, it’s about a dude name Goku and Piccolo fighting over “dragon balls”!
Anyhoo, for you diehard fans (and those not so much), here are more pictures from the movie featured in the latest issue of Japan’s Jump Square magazine and via the boys over at DBMovie.com.
Starring Justin Chatwin, Emmy Rossum, James Marsters, Randall Duk Kim, Jamie Chung, Chow Yun Fat, Ernie Hudson, and Joon Park.

ur the dum ass. goku’s illustration in the cartoon resembles that, which u wld automatically associate with asian. u wld notice the same with vegeta, they are both aliens yet they both resemble asian traits as does yamcha. yamcha is asian and sometimes the difference between him and goku is not to great that some idiots who dont know shit about dbz, mistake him for goku while they watch it with me once in a blue moon. this means even if he is not asain there was definetly an intention to make him similar to asians. its pretty obvious that the illustrators whether by, instruction or not, have intended goku and vegeta to carry asian traits. i just remembered this point. vegeta is an alien and he was named after planet vegeta and his father’s name is vegeta. vegeta is a f***in japinese word.that means the saiyans definitely were intended to be the equivalent of asians in our world or similar. other than this the saiyans goku,vegeta,bardock and broly are the furthest thing from white looking.
dude really who cares, did any of those ppl in anime look asain to you, they didn’t to me. every book i’ve seen (never read) and every show my friends make me sit through they all lok american. yeah in their native land the show is in their language, but in america it looked so american besides all the asain stuff in the backround. i know nothing about this show, really only a bit. im like everyone else, goku is my favorite guy cuase he’s the only one i know, but this is just a movie it won’t ruin the show cuase the show is still there, i don’t care what happens in my comic movies cause i still have the comics to fall back on. plus why rag on someone just because they don’t know a stupid show very well, it seems a liitle childis to me dude. just forget this movie, it’s only inspired by the show not based on it.

wow don’t go there dude. i blieve that comics and mang should stay far apart, i saw a manga style spiderman, broke my heart. i don’t take mang very seriously. its when they do the whole big head thing when they yell. i don’t like it. you don’t see that in my hero comics. they have comedy but when the scene calls for it they can get REALLY dramatic.
who cares bout tha color im juss lookin forward to tha acting and tha story line and most of all the graphics. this better be good
For all you people who think Saiyans are Asian, that’s not possible with Goku or Vegeta. Gohan, Goten, and Pan could on the other hand be half Asian-half Saiyan since Chi-Chi and the Ox King are Asians.
you are the only person i agree with here dude, you make sence. but dude do any of these characters look asain to you when you watch the show, even when they speak in asain.( im not very smart with this kind of thing so my dialogue will not sound very inteligent.)
Anime characters are stylized humans beings. Yes, they look more japanese or korean than they do american or europeans.
It’s very obvious when a white person is being portrayed in anime/manga, they’re given a wider jaw and more pronounced bridge of the nose and brow (take a look at Android 16 in DBZ, most japanese readers will tell you ‘oh yeah, he looks hakujin (white)).
Anime characters tailor to popular Japanese aesthetics; Go take a look at Gackt Camui or Ayumi Hamasaki since you seem really cut off from the world outside of your ‘white’ bubble.
No I’m just speculating that they are because it’s a Japanese show made by Japanese people.
They’re boycotting because it’s not the same Priverson.
