BEAUTIFULLY EPIC!!!!!!!!! FOR ODIN, FOR ASGARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just don't get the fanboy obsession with the helmets. Seriously, I understand they're integral to the “look” of the characters; but some people are all up in arms because Thor doesn't wear his helmet for the whole movie. I personally see the helmets like Spidey's webshooters…..nostalgic but not necessary.

umm spideys web shooters are kinda how he gets around the city…

  • Marcus

I could be wrong, but I think Dominique meant mechanical webshooters are nostalgic, while Spidey fans are mixed about the movies' biological webshooters.

  • ULIK

I just found out that Donald Blake actually IS in “Thor”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ULIK

Thor's helmet is just as iconic in his look as Mjolnir(the hammer). Loki frequently wore different “horned” helmets in the comics, Lady Sif, Balder,Heimdall, and Odin all wore helmets but not all the time. Mostly when going to battle, to ceremonies, and while in the sacred halls. Personally I think the organic web-shooters BETTER because it showed how Peters' mutation made him even closer to being like a spider and mechanical web shooters could jam, malfunction or run out of webbing.

When? Where? I bet he's only in the end as a truly human form for Thor.

But the helmets look great. I agree with Dominique to a point. But Dom they gotta be in the movie at some point, it's like Ulik said it's a part of him, but just as you said not necesarry at all times. And now that I see them I breath a sigh of relief as they are beautifu; The destroyer looks awesome.

Ulik I agree wbout the webshooters.

Kenneth Branagh himself was asked at Comic Con, why didn't he use Donald Blake in this movie and he replied “Don Blake is in this movie”. But done in more of a subtle not so pronounced way.

The costumes are too stylized, too 'clean' and not 'dirty' enough. They dont look authentic. Instead of making the actors look like vikings they make them look too much like Power Rangers.

Um have you seen a Thor comic? Noone really looks like a viking. The whole world is stylized. I actually think by adding detail they made it MORE like a Jack Kirby design.
