When you think Morgan Freeman, you don’t think hated. You think soothing, calming voice, grandfatherly advices, and the like. And, if you happen to be a fan of a particular movie, prison rapes. But I try not to think too much about that last part. Morgan Freeman and prison rape just don’t feel right.
Anyways. Freeman is currently in talks to join Louis Leterrier’s magician heist flick “Now You See Me”, where he’ll play “Thaddeus, an ex-magician who has made a career out of exposing other magicians’ illusions, making him a despised figure within the magic community.”
Freeman will join “The Social Network’s” Jesse Eisenberg, playing the head of a group of thievin’ magicians known as the Four Horsemen, while Mark Ruffalo will play the G-man after him. Big eyes Amanda Seyfried and French beauty Melanie Laurent (“Inglourious Basterds”, below) are also in the cast.
Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt wrote the script for Summit Entertainment. No word on a start of production date yet.
