Good God, how did Kevin Smith get so fat? The dude is wearing designer hockey jerseys now, presumably because he couldn’t find an off-the-rack one that would fit him. That question, and more, will be answered in “Super Size Me” director Morgan Spurlock’s latest documentary, “Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope”. Probably. From the looks of the teaser trailer, Spurlock isn’t trying to change the world with this latest documentary, which means it should be good, clean fun, and more of a love letter to the geeks and fanboys (and yes, the Twi-hard girls) that flock to San Diego ever year. It will no doubt be a hit at the daily gathering this year, but it’ll be interesting to see if there’s an audience for this beyond Comic Con.
Have you ever imagined a place where Vulcans and vampires get along? Where wizards and wookies can be themselves? Welcome to Comic-Con San Diego.
