Mortal Kombat: Legacy Web Series Episode 2 (of 9)

Part 2 (of 9) of Kevin Tancharoen’s “Mortal Kombat: Legacy” lands online, featuring Michael Jae White’s Jax going all, well, Mortal Kombat-ish on poor ol loudmouth Kano (Darren Shahlavi). The end result? Kano’s gonna need a new eye, it looks like.

When Jax realizes time is of the essence to save Sonya, a fellow lieutenant in the Outworld Investigation Agency, from Kano’s deadly hand, he holds nothing back in this action-packed, two-on-one battle to keep a shipment of stolen Robotic Defense Program material out of Kano’s hands. But can Jax and Sonya do it? Kano is a ruthless, evil leader of the “Black Dragon” international crime organization, and anyone who’s tried to take him down has never lived to tell about it!

Also featuring Jeri Ryan as Sonya Blade and Tahmoh Penikett as Striker.

SICK! SICK! I know the guy isn’t the greatest write, (lets hire Warren Ellis he seems to rock everything he touches) but his visuals are great. This is better than both movies put together and it’s only 20 minutes total so far. Also I hope he gets to do the movie, he’s looking at doing a second “season” that follows Liu Kang and Kung Lau. I can’t wait for that. And I hope he gets to make the bg budget film, and he uses the cast from the webseries and ties them together. He’s said that the series is the motiviation of the characters to enter Mortal Kombat. So in essence this is a prequel series.

I wish they would be a little longer. At least 15 min. or so. But overall, they are great so far.
