Movie Trailer: Batman Gotham Knight

I’m very excited about the latest DC direct-to-DVD movie “Batman: Gotham Knight”, if only because DC’s last release, the Justice League origins movie “New Frontiers” surprised me with its willingness to dive into more adult territory than I’m usually used to with DC’s colorful cartoon characters. And from the looks of this trailer for “Gotham Knight”, the Batman looks like he goes through quite an ordeal, with some great dark moments sprinkled throughout, not to mention action. Should be good. And check out the rating: “PG-13″. Yup. No “G-rated” kiddie stuff here, folks.

Anime-inspired direct-to-DVD anthology film. Comprised of six short stories, from diverse creators, including Academy Award-nominated Josh Olsen (A History of Violence), Batman Begins writer David S. Goyer, and comics scribe Brian Azzarello. It’s planned for a release window of two to four weeks prior to the release of The Dark Knight, and would bridge the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

The bat flies to DVD June 8, 2008.
