Michelle Monaghan and Casey Affleck stars in Ben Affleck’s directorial debut, the crime mystery thriller “Gone Baby Gone”. Affleck co-writes the screenplay, based on the novel of the same name by Dennis Lehane, whose last book to be turned into a movie was the highly acclaimed “Mystic River”. The trailer, currently being hosted over at Yahoo! Movies, has the same gritty feel of “River”, although it’s curious that the two leads are two young actors that no one really knows (Casey Affleck has the famous last name, and Monaghan is barely shown) and the trailer itself hardly sells Affleck’s involvement. I really don’t know who is going to see this movie, unless the critics jump on board and good word of mouth gets out similar to Eastwood’s “Mystic River”.

When one of its own, a 4-year-old girl, goes missing, private investigators Patrick Kenzie (Affleck) and Angela Gennaro (Monaghan) don’t want the case. But after pleas from the child’s aunt, they open an investigation that will ultimately risk everything — their relationship, their sanity, and even their lives — to find a little girl-lost
