Movie Trailer: My Name is Bruce

Bruce Campbell plays Bruce Campbell, a has-been actor of cheesy sci-fi/horror movies, who is sought out by a couple of kids from a small town to help them defeat an ancient Chinese demon that has been unwittingly resurrected in a mind shaft to wreak havoc on the world. Or something like that. It’s a horror-comedy starring Bruce as Bruce called “My Name is Bruce.” Just roll with it. Trailer below.

My Name Is Bruce is the tale of a small town set upon by demons after a group of teen-agers unwittingly unleash an ancient curse. Campbell, playing himself, is kidnapped off the set of a B horror movie and, despite his protestations that he’s just an actor, is forced to play the role of his heroic movie character in order to save the town. Mark Verheiden (The Mask, TimeCop) is writing the screenplay. Production is scheduled for early 2006 in southern Oregon.

Starring Bruce Campbell and Ellen Sandweiss, and directed by Bruce Campbell.

I am so excited about this movie. Bruce Campbell is going to be so fun and cheesy. This kind of reminds me of Bandwagon. Can’t wait to see it.
