Courteney Cox and David Arquette in Scream 2 (1997) Movie Image

Everyone loves cinematic gossip, be it good, bad, or otherwise. It gives you something to read when you should be working, it gives me something to write about when I should be out enjoying this snazzy January sunshine — it’s a win-win situation, people. And thanks to the dedicated journalists toiling day and night at MTV, we will never run out of juicy non-news items to fiddle around with. According to their recent interview with David Arquette and Courtney Cox at Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony, it would seem that legendary horror filmmaker Wes Craven is unofficially attached to direct Kevin Williamson’s “Scream 4.” Those words are from David’s mouth, so make of that what you will. Courtney Cox has a slightly different version of the story, which you can enjoy below.

Careful, now — Blink and you’ll miss it.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at)
