There have always been talk about another “Beavis and Butthead” feature film, possibly even a live-action movie, but those have just been talk so far. What you can take to the bank, though, is that MTV plans on bringing Mike Judge’s couch potatoes and music video watching and trash talking animated morons back to TV in a new show.
TVLine confirms that after 13 years off the air, “Beavis and Butthead” will indeed return to the small screen to mock more music videos in a rebooted TV series. Of course, our two slackers will be in plenty of shock when they realize the MTV flagship network no longer, you know, plays music videos, and instead only have shows about pregnant teens, stupid teens doing stupid things, and some strange, strange people from the magical land of Jersey. The idea of the two slack-jawed teens wading into the likes of Lady Gaga and her ilk fills me with utter glee.
The network also confirms that they will be premiering their “Teen Wolf” TV series on June 5, 2011. In case you missed it, here’s an early trailer for the new, darker take on the tale:
