Or at least, she’s auditioned to join the film, officially called “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” (with “X-Men Origins: Magneto” to follow, one presumes), according to CinemaBlend, who quotes Digital Spy. Natalie Imbruglia, you may remember, was famous in the States for a time with her hit song “Torn”; she’s also not an acting novice, having previously co-starred in Bean’s “Johnny English” in 2003.
Fellow Australian star Imbruglia has screen-tested for a part in the picture but it has not been confirmed whether she will be taken on board.
The producers of X-Men Origins: Wolverine announced a casting shake-up earlier this month after Karl Urban dropped out.
They have reportedly asked Natalie Portman and Gerard Butler to consider parts in the film, while Liev Schreiber and Kodi Smit-McPhee are rumoured to be on board the project.
Huh, it sounds like “Wolverine” is having a bit of a problem getting its cast together. I guess this thing isn’t anywhere close to shooting as was originally thought.
