Natalie Zea has found a second job in-between carrying Raylan Givens’ child and getting the men of Kentucky all hot and bothered by her mere presence on the FX Channel’s “Justified”. The actress has joined the cast of Kevin Williamson’s untitled Fox serial killer drama as, I am assuming, the show’s female lead.
Zea joins a cast that includes Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy, and will play Claire Matthews, the ex-wife of fiendish serial killer Joe Carroll (Purefoy). Bacon will play Ryan Hardy, a former FBI agent pulled out of retirement when Carroll creates “a cult of serial killers”. As the king of the serial killer’s wife, Zea’s Claire will find herself “in the middle of a nightmare when he escapes from prison.” That does not sound fun at all.
Of course, this doesn’t mean Winona will be written off “Justified”, but depending on how big her role is on the Williamson show, it could mean a prolonged absence. At least there’ll be good reason for Raylan not to show up regularly at his baby mama’s house. You know, the whole pregnant thing. Lead tends to fly regularly around everyone’s favorite U.S. Deputy Marshal, and last I heard, that wasn’t good for kids.
Zea’s new show is still untitled (seriously, guys, you’re already casting leads, settle on a title already, sheesh), and hails from Kevin Williamson, the man behind the “Scream” movies and all those witch/supernatural shows that populate the CW and is not called “Supernatural”.
Besides the awesome “Justified” on FX, Zea has previously recurred on “Hung” and “Californication”. So yeah, juggling different TV shows haven’t been a problem for her in the past, so there’s that.
