Need More Donnie Yen? Then Partake in This Badass Teaser for Peter Chan’s Wu Xia

Donnie Yen is a madman. They always has something in the works. And if he doesn’t have something in the works, he’s probably promoting something he just finished. Honestly, I don’t know how the guy finds the time for it all. Below you’ll find the debut trailer for Peter Chan’s “Wu Xia”, which stars Yen as a retired assassin who is being hunted by a detective (Takeshi Kaneshiro) hellbent on bringing him to justice. The clip is fairly badass, so I’ll refrain from spending too much time building it up. Instead, I’ll direct your attention to the embedded video and be done with it. Enjoy.

About Todd Rigney

View all Posts

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.

SICK! Anyone who doesn’t want more Donnie Yen is crazy!

Damn, they must have cloned him. How else can he be in every 2nd chinese movie? However I hope he´s done with all those period pieces and kicks ass in modern times soon ala SPL or Flash Point.

I agree I’d like more modern stuff, but he shouldn’t stop making period films. He kicks ass at those!

Can’t really blame him or film producers for sticking with the period flicks since they tend to be popular with the monster Mainland Chinese audience. But what I’d really like to see from Donnie is team-up movie alongside Jet Li, Jason Wu or Vincent Zhao. He’s never had a proper, barehanded fight with Wu or Jet and no movies at all with Zhao (I don’t think), and with the four of them having received wushu training at various points, it’d a be helluva display to see at least two of them going at it

completely agreeing with you, donnie is always great to see in any movie, but we do need some more SPL/Flash Point + cop vs criminal + MMA action again :D

Looks good, but I agree, I want to see Donnie in some more modern action movies, but with more action, SPL and Flashpoint both lacked in action, there should have been more, a better pace and flow of action and drama, like Tiger Cage 2, the pace in that was awesome! I know that Flashpoint was meant to have more fight scenes in it, but they didn’t shoot them in the end due to lack of budget, I think the golf club fight scene was going to be longer, and Donnie was going to show up and kick loads of ass…. sad it never happened, coz if it had, Flashpoint would have been a massive hit.
