Neil Marshall Updates The Descent 2, Jon Harris to Direct

Neil Marshall may not be directing “The Descent 2″, or as it’s been “cleverly” titled, “The De2cent”, but he’s making it clear (again) that he’ll have his fingers in every aspect of the sequel’s production. Or that’s what he says, anyway. Via Fangoria, Marshall tells fans at Britain’s Film 4 FrightFest where he was showing his latest film “Doomsday” that the script is currently in the process of being written (although he didn’t say if he was writing it), and that the director for the sequel will be one Jon Harris, Marshall’s editor on the original “Descent” movie, of whom Marshall says, “I can’t think of a better man for the job.”

Harris also edited SNATCH, LAYER CAKE and this summer’s STARDUST, and is working on the currently shooting horror-thriller EDEN LAKE, produced by DESCENT makers Celador Films.

I haven’t seen “The Descent”, but I am looking forward to “Doomsday”.
