The Sam Raimi-produced “The Possession” looks like a decent horror movie, if ever PG-13 rated horror movies can be called decent. While there are plenty of creepy moments throughout this new 60-second TV spot, it doesn’t look especially scary. Unless, of course, teenage girls jumping out of the dark and on you gets your blood pumping. (And no, I don’t mean it that way. Sheesh. Get our mind out of the gutter.) Anyways, check out the new TV spot for “The Possession”, check it outers.

Based on a true story, THE POSSESSION is the terrifying story of how one family must unite in order to survive the wrath of an unspeakable evil. Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick) see little cause for alarm when their youngest daughter Em becomes oddly obsessed with an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. But as Em’s behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the couple fears the presence of a malevolent force in their midst, only to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.

Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick, Grant Show, Madison Davenport, Natasha Calis, Agam Darshi, Quinn Lord, Rob LaBelle, and directed by Ole Bornedal.

Don’t trust the girl August 31, 2012.
