Sebastian Stan and Ashley Green in The Apparition (2012) Movie Image

If you can figure out what Warner Bros. is doing with their PG-13 horror title “The Apparition”, please drop me a line, cause I don’t have a clue. It looks for all intents and purposes like a direct-to-DVD horror movie, but the studio must think there is a chance to recoup its cost, because it’s still got the film scheduled to open wide later this month. Though you wouldn’t know it, given that the last time the studio promoted the movie was by way of a trailer all the way back in May, and we haven’t seen anything else from it since. Well until today, which brings over 20 new images from the film. Check it out below, check it outers.

When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly (Ashley Greene) and Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural (Tom Felton), but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force…

Starring Sebastian Stan, Ashley Greene, Tom Felton, Julianna Guill, Luke Pasqualino, Rick Gomez, Suzanne Ford, Anna Clark, and directed by Todd Lincoln.

Appearing in theaters August 24, 2012.

Four of the 20+ new images below. See the rest in our “The Apparition” preview page.
