I’m sure Christopher Nolan or whoever edited this brand spanking new trailer for “The Dark Knight Rises” didn’t toss in snippets of every single action scene they could find in the movie, but man, it sure feels like it. The film is still a whole month away from opening, but with all the promotional stuff already making the rounds, it’s only a matter of time before clips start surfacing. The trailers and TV spots are excellent, but I’d really like to see a full scene or two from the movie, just to get a feel for what’s happening in-between the explosions and fights. Amazingly enough, “The Dark Knight Rises” has managed to show a lot in all the trailers and TV spots while telling very little about the actual plot of the film. That’s quite an achievement.
Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent’s crimes.
Starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, and Nestor Carbonell.
The bat rises July 20, 2012.
