Has it really been 13 years since Hugh Jackman moused up his hair to play the feral Canucklehead in Bryan Singer’s first “X-Men” movie? Yup. And it’s also been 4 years since that bad misfire known as “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”. But now that we know Wolverine’s origins, it’s time to see where he’s going — namely Japan in James Mangold’s “The Wolverine.” Take a gander at a new behind-the-scenes image from the film courtesy of Mangold himself via Twitter.
“The Wolverine” finds Logan in Japan tangling with ninjas, Samurais, and other assorted baddies. Good times will be had by all. Well, except for the ones that Logan ends up impaling, I mean. Not very good times, that.
Mangold’s “The Wolverine” also stars Brian Tee, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Rila Fukushima, James Fraser, Tao Okamoto, Hal Yamanouchi, and slices his way back into theaters this July 26, 2013.
