New Captain America TV Spot Reveals a Frozen Cap

From the looks of it, this latest “Captain America: The First Avenger” reveals the film’s opening frame set in the present day. If you’ve read the comics, or know even a little bit about Captain America’s origins, then this probably won’t come as much of a surprise to you. And since this scene, from everything I’ve heard, occurs very early on in the movie, it’s not really all that big of a spoiler, I suppose.

“Captain America: The First Avenger” will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving.)

Starring Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Stanley Tucci, Tommy Lee Jones, Hayley Atwell, Richard Armitage, Sebastian Stan, Dominic Cooper, Natalie Dormer, Neal McDonough, Toby Jones, JJ Feild and directed by Joe Johnston.

Grab some ice July 22, 2011.

one day i hope they pit capt america versus deathlok. Please let that be the next sequel.

You’re reaching there buddy. I’d say getting Deathlok in a movie period would be amazing but Cap vs Deathlok just isn’t a logical progression of the character or the story. Personally a Deathlok film just about him would and could work very well if written right. For a sequel for Cap I’m thinking Zemo with Crossbones working for him. Throw in a flashback to Cap in WWII fighting the original Zemo and boom!

ok. I’m just tired of the lame villians they have been using. I know the Iron Man have done well in the box office, but WTF is up with the baddies. Mickey Rourke’s electric whip wielding antagonist gets the thumbs down. Can’t deny the Iron Man suit is done really well, the flying, all the CG works, but its the nemesis that makes the hero.

Oh I agree about the villains. I’M needs Mandarin. Cap has a few villains you can update and the political climate is perfect for telling stories with him and tweaking some of his enemies.

          Sent on the go.

Looks good. Glad they’ve updated it to make so Cap isn’t just stuck in a block of ice. Can’t wait!
