New Clip: Kick Ass Gets his Ass Kicked by a Chick

Yahoo‘s got an exclusive clip from “Kick Ass” featuring Kick Ass (Aaron Johnson) trying to surprise Lyndsy Fonseca’s character, only to end up getting his ass kicked. By a girl! Oh, you silly superhero, you.

Based on the comic book by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr., “Kick Ass” follows Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan with a few friends and who lives alone with his father. His life is not very difficult and his personal trials not that overwhelming. However, one day Dave makes the simple decision to become a super-hero even though he has no powers or training, and after fashioning himself a homemade costume, he goes out to fight crime. He later comes into contact with Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) a teenage girl who is actually highly trained to fight crime (not to mention sporting the foulest mouth), and her father, ex-cop Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage). Together, they take on a mobster played by Mark Strong.

Starring Nicolas Cage, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Mark Strong, Aaron Johnson, Lyndsy Fonseca, Xander Berkeley, Clark Duke, Chloe Moretz, Michael Rispoli, Omari Hardwick, Adrian Martinez, Tim Plester, Deborah Twiss, and directed by Matthew Vaughn.

Get your ass kicked by a chick April 16, 2010.

He's essentially a human punch bag throughout the whole film but I think the marketing has gone a bit crazy with Kick-Ass. They need to hold some of these clips back. I thoroughly enjoyed the film but may not have been quite so sold if I'd watched every single one of these marketing clips.
