New Expendables Trailer and Final Poster is Talky, Name Drops Plenty

The latest “Expendables” trailer from IGN is really not worth your time, but I thought I’d post it anyway in case you had a minute to throw away. It’s Stallone doing some ridiculous voiceover, followed by glimpses of Willis, Schwarzenegger, and the promise that this is the first and last time these guys will be teaming up for a movie. Kinda a ballsy declaration, given how much time these guys still have left on this planet.

THE EXPENDABLES is a hard-hitting action/thriller about a group of mercenaries (led by Sylvester Stallone) hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator (David Zayas). Once the mission begins, the men realize things aren’t quite as they appear, finding themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal. With their mission thwarted and an innocent life in danger, the men struggle with an even tougher challenge one that threatens to destroy this band of brothers.

Starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, David Zayas, Giselle Itié, Terry Crews, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Charisma Carpenter, Gary Daniels, and directed by Sylvester Stallone.

The boys attack August 13, 2010.

Meanwhile, Joblo has the final “Expendables” poster, which like the latest trailer, is grossly underwhelming:
