Nothing augments a kickass action film quite like a silly tagline. “In space no one can hear you scream.” “At the end of the universe lies the beginning of vengeance.” “Crime is a disease, meet the cure.” “Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas.” These are some of my personal favorites.
The new poster for Dwayne Johnson’s revenge movie “Faster”, which I become increasingly excited about as the days go by, has not one, but two silly taglines.
“Slow justice is no justice” alone is priceless. And as if that isn’t enough, as your eyes scan down the poster they are met with “This year the holidays come faster.” That right there is gold. And if that still isn’t enough, there is The Rock, looking massive, holding a big gun. The poster promises a scary looking dude, firearms, and fast cars, which, honestly, is all I really ask for in any movie.
