New Forbidden Kingdom Trailer, Images

By Nix | February 8, 2008 (8:08 pm)

Despite having seen the trailer and all the promo images for “The Forbidden Kingdom” numerous times, I still can’t figure out if this thing is going to be good or bad, or somewhere in-between. The idea of Jet Li and Jackie Chan sharing the same screen in a martial arts movie is pretty exciting, but then they had to throw in an American kid just to sell this thing to American markets. Eh. We’ll see. A new trailer and promo stills have shown up for the movie.

While hunting down bootleg kung-fu DVDs in a Chinatown pawnshop, Jason makes an extraordinary discovery that sends him hurtling back in time to ancient China. There, Jason is charged with a monumental task: he must free the fabled warrior the Monkey King, who has been imprisoned by the evil Jade Warlord. Jason is joined in his quest by wise kung fu master Lu Yan and a band of misfit warriors including Silent Monk. But only by learning the true precepts of kung fu can Jason hope to succeed - and find a way to get back home.

Starring Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Liu Yifei, Michael Angarano, Collin Chou, and directed by Rob Minkoff.

i wish folks wud stop getting racist bout the white kid in the movie.
all that matters is that two of the worlds finest martial arts icons are gonna throwdown for the first time ever.Even if the plot sucks i think seeing jackie & jet square off in this flick is a huge compensation.
