Two New G.I. Joe Clips Prove Snake Eyes’ CG Badassness
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra (2009) Movie, Videos — By Nix on July 20, 2009
To be perfectly honest with you, I’m not sure if I should be impressed by Snake Eyes’ ability to dodge flying cars in this clip from Stephen Sommers’ official site (which just recently launched, prompting the debut of this exclusive clip), or be somewhat unimpressed by the fact that it’s all CG. I mean, sure, Ray Parks, who plays Snake Eyes in the movie, is a pretty impressive dude with all the things he can do with his body, but this is a tad ridiculous. But hey, don’t take my word for it. Check out the clip below for yourself. And is it me, or is Byung-hun Lee’s English a lot better than I thought it would be? Unless, of course, they dubbed it…
An elite military unit comprised of special operatives known as G.I. Joe, operating out of The Pit, takes on an evil organization led by a notorious arms dealer.
Starring Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Byung-hun Lee, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Jonathan Pryce, Saïd Taghmaoui, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans, Dennis Quaid, Karolina Kurkova, Ray Park, and Arnold Vosloo. Stephen Sommers directs.
The Joes trash Paris August 7, 2009.

Added a second clip that’s a continuation of the scene above (via Yahoo! Movies):

HOLY SH!T!!! I’m there. That was all I needed. A clip that had some Snake EYes action in it.
And OF COURSE it’s ridiculous, it’s G.I.Joe. Realism doesn’t belong in this movie.
no, but I’ll tell you what does, some porkchop sandwiches
Lmao. Ok Fine bring the samiches! But only if Gung-Ho and Barbecue can cook em up at the Joe Picnic.
“And is it me, or is Byung-hun Lee’s English a lot better than I thought it would be? Unless, of course, they dubbed it…”
There’s a Korean poster of Storm Shadow without the mask (probably because he’s Korean and a relatively big star there), and they also said in their “Extra Tidbit” after the post that Lee speaks fluent Korean, English, French, and Mandarin Chinese. That’s really him speaking.
Either going to be so bad it’s good or just plain unwatchable. Snake Eyes is the only reason to watch and is not much of a reason. Pass.
This movie looks great…
Lee also speaks Japanese, by the way. But yeah I would expect him to be better at English than at LEAST Rain. Then again, it’s been a year and a half or so since Rain got to show off his “English” on screen. Ninja Assassin, here we go!
Nice. I can’t wait for that flick either. Year of the ninja. “Ninja” starring Scott “Barakapool” Adkins, “Ninja Assassin” with Rain, and G.I.Joe with Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow (Ray Park and Lee)
