Columbia Pictures has released a new poster for “Crank” and “Gamer” directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance”, the sequel to 2007′s surprise hit film. Oh come on, no one expected that movie to do any business whatsoever. You know what put it over the top? The fact that kids loved the hell out of that movie. And I’m not talking about comic book reading fanboy “kids”. I’m talking about under-10 year old kids. I have proof. My nephew must have seen that movie 20 times. Anyways, in the sequel Nicolas Cage returns as the dude with the flaming skull, and is joined this time ’round by Idris Elba, Violante Placido, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Lambert, Fergus Riordan, and Johnny Whitworth.
Set several years after the first film finds Johnny Blaze in self-imposed exile from the world. Blaze has become a tormented soul, convinced that his powers are a curse. Former stuntman Blaze is then approached by Moreau, a member of the monastic order of Michael, the warrior angel. Moreau seeks a protector for a mother and son duo who are being pursued by a figure named Roarke – a fellow with a detailed knowledge of the Ghost Rider and his different identities over the centuries.
