Columbia Pictures has released a new poster for “Crank” and “Gamer” directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance”, the sequel to 2007′s surprise hit film. Oh come on, no one expected that movie to do any business whatsoever. You know what put it over the top? The fact that kids loved the hell out of that movie. And I’m not talking about comic book reading fanboy “kids”. I’m talking about under-10 year old kids. I have proof. My nephew must have seen that movie 20 times. Anyways, in the sequel Nicolas Cage returns as the dude with the flaming skull, and is joined this time ’round by Idris Elba, Violante Placido, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Lambert, Fergus Riordan, and Johnny Whitworth.

Set several years after the first film finds Johnny Blaze in self-imposed exile from the world. Blaze has become a tormented soul, convinced that his powers are a curse. Former stuntman Blaze is then approached by Moreau, a member of the monastic order of Michael, the warrior angel. Moreau seeks a protector for a mother and son duo who are being pursued by a figure named Roarke – a fellow with a detailed knowledge of the Ghost Rider and his different identities over the centuries.

Comin’ for yer ass February 17, 2012.

Liked the bike in the first one better. There’s no flaire to the bike other than looking like it’s charred!

I agree with you in principle Dedpool – while I think the bike in the original looks a little too much like a prop or model and less like an actual motorcycle, I think this one goes a bit too far the other way in that it isn’t trying at all to be GH’s bike from the comics apart of the flaming wheel. I think you could very easily design a cool charred skull on the front of a bike and not have it look too cheesy.

100% agreed! I’m not looking for a full on skull. Hell Just something along the lines of Dan Ketch’s bike. or have a skull with an open mouth where the headlight is, and make the headlight in the mouth.

I’m with both you guys! Somewhere in between this one and the one from the first film would be awesome. They’ve been releasing abunch of grindhouse/mondo style posters for this thing within the past few months and none have done it for me. This one is actually really cool. While I wasn’t a huge fan of the first film I’m looking forward to this movie. He pisses flames in the trailer for cryin’ out loud, how bad could it be?! Uh, forget I asked that last question.

Lmao! Yeah I’m a lil worried about that no matter how funny/cool it is!
