New How to Make Love to a Woman Trailer Shows the Softer Side of Doggie Style

When you saw the first trailer for “How to Make Love to a Woman” I bet you didn’t think it had a gooey romcom center to it, did ya? Well you’re wrong. How does it feel to be so wrong, Mister Wrong? The second trailer pours on the romcom cliches pretty hard and fast, and now I don’t, er, I’m not sure if I want to see this thing. Seriously, I thought this was going to be a goofy, raunchy sex comedy, not a generic romantic comedy that follows all the cliches to the letter, right down to the guy racing to catch the love of his life before she leaves him for good, etc etc.

Even the synopsis below reads dull.

When young record executive Andy Conners hears his girlfriend Lauren sigh in frustration after making love, he panics, realizing he’s never really gotten the job done. Little does he know that she was sighing because she’s not sure if Andy is the one. The basic miscommunication sends Andy on a wild journey with his best friend Layne to become better in bed, while Lauren, with the help of her girlfriends, decides to date an old flame. As Andy’s efforts continue to fail, Lauren gets a job offer in Chicago and decides to take it. With her plane soaring into the sky, Andy has to figure out how to save the love of his life. Will he? Maybe. Find out in this funny, edgy, and honest comedy, which promises to take you down a new road of relationship follies.

The trailer actually starts out pretty well, but it all goes down hill once they start strumming the guitar.

Starring Josh Meyers, Krysten Ritter, Ian Somerhalder, and Jenna Jameson. Scott Culver directs.

Learn how to get it on September 10.
