New Images from I Come with the Rain

You know, even if Vietnamese director Anh Hung Tran’s “I Come with the Rain” fails to live up to my expectations, I’m still going to end up liking this thing, if only because, years later, I can say to people that I saw a movie called “I Come with the Rain”. I mean, come on, how cool of a title is that? It’s almost as cool as “Tonight, He Comes”, aka that Will Smith movie about a drunk superhero that was changed to “Hancock”. Anyhoo, new images from the movie below.

Kline, an ex-cop in Los Angeles traumatized by slaying a serial killer, is hired by a powerful corporate boss to go to the Philippines and find Shitao, his missing son. Kline’s leads take him to Hong Kong. Torn between good and evil, caught in the crossfire between a mafia drug ring and the police, he tracks down Shitao, who has become a mysterious vagrant.

Starring Josh Hartnett, Lee Byung-Hyun, Takuya Kimura, Elias Koteas, Tran Nu Yen Khe and Shawn Yue, and directed by Anh Hung Tran.

The bloody images below (via). Not exactly what you expect from a guy who directed “Vertical Ray of the Sun”, “Cyclo”, and “The Scent of Green Papaya”, but there you have it. It’s an action/thriller set in Hong Kong.
