The more I hear about Peter Berg’s “The Kingdom”, the more anxious I am to see it. It looks like it has the makings of a major, slam-bang, hide the kids and take the old folks to the retirement home sort of movie. And if it doesn’t end up being as substantial as I’m anticipating that it will be, then at least the action should sustain my attention. There are two things to keep in mind about “The Kingdom”: Peter Berg is becoming a major force in action filmmaking, and Jamie Foxx is becoming a really good actor, and has removed himself completely from his sitcom days. This is some serious work here, folks, by both men. And of course, Jen Garner with an assault rifle is just beautiful to watch.
