New Images from Richard Kelly’s The Box

Five new images from Richard Kelly’s “The Box”. Despite the fact that I know the original story that “The Box” is based on (Richard Matheson’s “Button, Button”), I get this feeling that ol Richard Kelly is going to be pulling a fast one on the viewer. After all, the movie is being listed as a horror, thriller, and a science-fiction movie. So it’ll be interesting to see what Kelly springs on us as he diverts from the original story, as she surely must to make it his own.

Norma and Arthur Lewis, a suburban couple with a young child receive a simple woden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences. A mysterious stranger delivers the message that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button, but pressing the button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world; someone they don’t know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in the cross-hairs of a startling moral dilemma and must face the true nature of their humanity.

Starring Cameron Diaz, James Marsden, Frank Langella, Gillian Jacobs, James Rebhorn, Michael Zegen, and directed by Richard Kelly.

Don’t open the box October 30.

i saw this movie and believe me, if you do not fancy a thriller and a movie that not only has you on the edge of your seat, confused and crying, then do not watch this film.
It was not exactly what i excpected but needless to say, i had a lot to think about once i came out of the cinema.
