Zach Snyder’s “Sucker Punch” may appear in 3D as announced, thanks to the much-maligned post-production conversion process. Then again, it may not, since Snyder is on record saying he doesn’t want to alter the film if it is rushed and doesn’t meet his standards. To get an answer to that question we’ll have to wait and see what version actually hits screens when the film is released in March.
However, in the meantime, a couple of new pictures have wandered on to the internet. One shows beehive sporting Vanessa Hudgins with a sassy little look on her face, standing next to Jamie Chung, who looks worried. The other shows hero Baby Doll (Emily Browning) talking to Scott Glenn as the wise old man, conveniently enough named Wiseman.
“Sucker Punch” follows Baby Doll, a young girl institutionalized by her evil stepfather. In order to cope with the despicable nature of her surroundings, Baby Doll and a group of spunky cohorts, including Hudgins, Chung, Jenna Malone, and Abbie Cornish, retreat into a stylized imaginary world where they battle all of their problems as metaphorical monsters, armies, and robots.
“Sucker Punch” opens on March 25, 2011.
