After seeing Paul Walker play second fiddle to Vin Diesel for so long in the “Fast and Furious” movies, seeing him in the Vin Diesel role in films like “Brick Mansions” is kind of weird, especially given that this is one of his last roles. Anyways, take a look at a new French trailer and International poster for the Camille Delamarre-directed film, a remake of the French action series from producer Luc Besson.
And since this is a Luc Besson-produced/written movie, you can pretty much expect lots of ludicrous action scenes, nonsensical plotting, and stuff just, you know, sort of happening without any rhyme or reason. That’s just how he rolls these days, and given how well his movies have done (with the occasional bumps along the road, like the McG-directed “Three Days to Kill”), it seems to be working pretty well for him.
In the criminal underworld of Detroit, the streets are overrun with violence and drugs and the hand of corruption reaches into the lives of everyone; well almost everyone. For Lino (David Belle) every day is a fight to live an honest life. But when a drug lord kidnaps his girlfriend, Lino is forced to team up with Damien Collier (Paul Walker), an undercover cop who’s been tracking this king pin’s involvement in something even more sinister — a plot to devastate the entire city. Together they uncover a trail of corruption that leads all the way to the top. “Brick Mansions” features thrilling parkour stunts paired with gripping intrigue in this explosive must-see action film.
Starring Paul Walker, David Belle, RZA, and Catalina Denis.
