A couple of new photos from Matthew Vaughn’s movie adaptation of Mark Millar’s “Kick-Ass” comic book. I know a lot of fanboys on the Interwebs are anticipating this thing, but let’s face it, it’s not going to do all that much business. The violence is going to keep parents from seeing this movie despite the heavy teen cast, and talks of a “Kick-Ass 2” seems a tad premature. And while the comic book got off to a slam-bang start, it lost me about the time a tough-talking pre-teen showed up to slice some bad guys up with a sword. I mean, WTF is that about, Mark Millar? Dave Lizewski is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan with a few friends and who lives alone with his father. His life is not very difficult and his personal trials not that overwhelming. However, one day he makes the simple decision to become a super-hero even though he has no powers or training.
