In their preview of the upcoming Summer films of 2012, MTV has a handful of new images from some notable titles like “The Avengers” (go, Captain America, go!), “Brave”, Edward Norton and Jeremy Renner locking horns in “The Bourne Legacy”, and a new look at Chuck Norris in “The Expendables 2″. Okay, not really new, but an official new look, so that’s new-ish.
You also get a new image from the Ashley Greene supernatural thriller “The Apparition”, which was originally a 2011 film but has been moved to 2012, and I’m wondering if the fact that we haven’t even gotten a trailer yet means this film might get sneak into theaters without a press screening. It certainly seems to be headed in that direction.
Also, new images for Wes Anderson’s “Moonrise Kingdom” and “Killer” Joe” with Matthew McConaughey and Thomas Haden Church, a 2011 movie that’s been pushed back to 2012, so judge that however you like. Not sure why it’s one of MTV’s most anticipated films of the Summer, though. Curious, that.
